This is my 7th full season on my Dalbello shells / Zip Fit Liners that Jacques personally fit for me. I’m an aggressive skier, 6’2, 220 lbs. … read more I don’t meet many people that ski faster. I have a house in Winter Park and normally get 30-45 days in per year. I like to spend a lot of time in the bumps and trees when conditions are right. I can tell you quite simply, these boots are the absolute best $900 you will spend. They will change how you ski. They will change how you feel after you ski. They will allow you to get the most out of the $1000 skis attached to your feet and they will come back day after day, without packing out and without developing hot spots. I seriously question the other reviews on this post. Winter Park is a small town. These reviews sound more like a disgruntled former employee than an actual customer. For instance, earlier this season, I stoppped by Jacques’ shop with the intention of purchasing new shells. After +/- 300 days, my black shells look like they went to war. Jacques took a look at them, made a few adjustments and told me I still had 1-2 seasons left. There was no charge. I was ready to drop $400 buck on shells but I’m still happily wearing what may be the ugliest boots on the mountain! If you’re looking to improve your skiing, decrease your chances of injury and get the most out of the engineering that went in to your skis – and your body – this is the absolute best way to go. My wife is on her fifth year on her Dalbello / Zip Fit boots and she tells people that Le Feet Lab changed her life. She was ready to give up on downhill skiing as she was always having boot issues. Not anymore. Yes. They’re expensive – but so is knee surgery or wasted ski passes because your feet hurt. These boots are an investment in your health, comfort and safety. You get what you pay for and when you consider what you get, these boots are a great investment. If I lost these boots, I would not even consider going to a ski shop and purchasing off the rack from a 24 year old boot fitter (no offense). I would head straight back to Le Feet Lab and purchase again – no question about it. Very highly recommended – and I am a real person, real customer – with no affiliation to the shop. My email is fort collin skier at gmail – (no spaces, obviously) – if you have any questions.

  • Best money spent on ski gear! These guys are professionals and they understand your needs no matter how difficult your feet are. I went in with severe limb length discrepancy… read more and dorsiflexed left foot. Skiing in regular boots was excruciating and I couldn’t get past greens. Jacqueline and Dan took such good care of me. I started out with different shells and liners and after another painful ski day they switched out boots and liners and made tons of adjustments. I could finally ski without taking the boots off and massaging my feet after every run. Went in on a third day for a minor adjustment and now my boots feel like slippers but super supportive and adjustable! I am so happy! Thanks Le Feet Lab for providing high quality ski orthotics services.

  • I can understand the negative reviews by some who were not aware of what Le Feet Lab does. Le Feet need to do a better job of explaining their service.… read more People come in expecting they will fix there ill fitted boots they already own. That is not what they do. They offer a boot system based on the Zipfit boot liner. I went in thinking I was going to replace the liner alone. From what they told me the Zipfit works best in a 3 piece design boot. They offer the Dabello line of boot shells that have been designed to work with the Zipfit liners. Both companies are from Italy and must work together on testing. Le Feet Lab may seem like high pressure sales when you thought you were coming in looking for a liner or boot adjusting, but they offer a full refund if you are not happy with the boots. First they mold a foot bed to your foot, then fit the boot shell and a liner. The system is not cheap, but for $900+ you get a boot that fits great and will last years. I expect the $300 shell will give out before the liner. I was going through boots every two years and about 100 days of skiing because the liner would pack out and become uncomfortable. The Zipfit liner is made with cork and expand back at the end of the day so they fit great every time. Also if you warm up the boots the night before the liner stays warm for a good part of the day. Do your homework before going to Le Lab and will not be disappointed.

  • Went to winter park for a ski trip and found out from a different boot fitter in the area that the boots I had were too big for me. They… read more didn’t have anything in my size, so they recommended Le Feet Lab. They got me in for a fitting same day and were extremely accommodating. Jacques, Jaquelyn (sorry if names are misspelled) and the rest of the staff are very knowledgeable, accommodating and helpful. I had new boots custom fitted and took them on the mountain the next morning. I went through three adjustments while I was out there and they diagnosed and solved the issue in about 10 minutes or less. All technicians working in the shop are very capable, so you will get a great fit no matter who’s working on your boots. Also, if you’re lucky you’ll meet the shop dog, Wyatt! The service offered here is top notch. I’ve never felt more connected to my skis and the boots are extremely comfortable. The price is higher than grabbing boots at REI, but you definitely get what you paid for. One other thing to note is this shop exclusively sells dalbello boots, but they can work on any other boot and do whatever they can to fit them better to you. Dalbello is a great brand from Italy and the boots are fantastic. My wife also has a pair of dalbello boots and loves them. So it’s really more of a brand preference thing to be aware of. Thank you to Le Feet Lab for equipping me with some awesome boots to shred the pow, glades and bumps!

Jacques and Jacqueline are fantastic to work with and the Le Feet Lab product is excellent. I highly recommend Le Feet Lab. My quick review score is 5… read more stars. I am a real customer who was referred to Le Feet Lab by another real customer who has used their services for almost 20 years. The long winded description of my fantastic experience is below. I worked with Le Feet Lab before the start of the 2015-2016 ski season. I have skied for many years, but have always fought boot fit issues resulting in legs and feet which are just wore out at the end of the day. I have a history of foot challenges including very high arches, Plantar Fasciitis and one leg 1/2 inch shorter than the other. A friend who is a former ski racer and current ski instructor suggested the Le Feet boot system. The system consists of Dalbello shells with ZipFit cork liners and custom foot bed orthotics specific to your feet. They create orthotics for all customers, even if they do not have feet disasters like myself. The orthotics are a hard plastic material which are heated and molded to your feet. Once cool, they are rigid. The orthotics are not just pulled off of a shelf based on your footprint and stuck into your boots. Le Feet will work with you until you are happy with the fit of the system. They worked with me for nearly three hours. They have a collection of equipment which makes you think of a cobbler’s workshop. They can form the liners to any shape needed to accommodate your foot/calf requirements. In my visit, they had the liners in and out of my shells 4-5 times per foot. They take the time needed to be sure you have a great fitting pair of boots and you are comfortable in those boots. The complete system resulted in the best feeling boot I have ever had on my foot. Each boot fits solidly around my foot in all places. The Dalbello buckle system pulls your foot diagonally back and down into the heal pocket of the Zip Fit liners which literally locks your foot in place like no other boot I have ever wore. What was really impressive was that there was literally no play with my foot in the liner, especially laterally. I found the three piece Dalbello easier to get into than my previous two piece shelled boots. I skied these boots about 10 times during the 2015-2016 season. After the first day I did return to have the liners adjusted in my ankle bone area to give a little bit more room. There was no charge for the adjustments. I did some fine tuning to the fit by changes to the micro adjust buckles. Unlike all of my previous boots, the difference in fit introduced in a single turn of the buckle makes a big difference with the ZipFit liners. The new boots have given me amazing edge control and with the adjustments that Le Feet made for my short leg, I no longer initiate my left and right turns differently. Best of all, I no longer finish the day with sore feet and legs. The Le Feet approach is a system, not a quick fix solution. Yes the system is expensive, but compared to high end boots costing around $700 and lasting only 2-3 seasons, they are not that expensive. Based on the shells I bought, I spent just under $1000. The system has a long life expectancy. A previous customer stopped into the shop for something minor and she was going on year 11. Based on the number of ski days I have a year, and the fact that I am 58, these boots should get me to skiing at age 70. Again, I highly recommend working with Jacques and Jacqueline at Le Feet Lab. Five Stars!
