  • Wonderful attention to every detail necessary to transform my boots from dreaded torture devices to custom fit comfort. They moved and removed plastic in every spot that I asked, and… read more I feel like they undercharged me for such a valuable service. I was about to buy a new pair of boots.

This is my 7th full season on my Dalbello shells / Zip Fit Liners that Jacques personally fit for me. I’m an aggressive skier, 6’2, 220 lbs. … read more I don’t meet many people that ski faster. I have a house in Winter Park and normally get 30-45 days in per year. I like to spend a lot of time in the bumps and trees when conditions are right. I can tell you quite simply, these boots are the absolute best $900 you will spend. They will change how you ski. They will change how you feel after you ski. They will allow you to get the most out of the $1000 skis attached to your feet and they will come back day after day, without packing out and without developing hot spots. I seriously question the other reviews on this post. Winter Park is a small town. These reviews sound more like a disgruntled former employee than an actual customer. For instance, earlier this season, I stoppped by Jacques’ shop with the intention of purchasing new shells. After +/- 300 days, my black shells look like they went to war. Jacques took a look at them, made a few adjustments and told me I still had 1-2 seasons left. There was no charge. I was ready to drop $400 buck on shells but I’m still happily wearing what may be the ugliest boots on the mountain! If you’re looking to improve your skiing, decrease your chances of injury and get the most out of the engineering that went in to your skis – and your body – this is the absolute best way to go. My wife is on her fifth year on her Dalbello / Zip Fit boots and she tells people that Le Feet Lab changed her life. She was ready to give up on downhill skiing as she was always having boot issues. Not anymore. Yes. They’re expensive – but so is knee surgery or wasted ski passes because your feet hurt. These boots are an investment in your health, comfort and safety. You get what you pay for and when you consider what you get, these boots are a great investment. If I lost these boots, I would not even consider going to a ski shop and purchasing off the rack from a 24 year old boot fitter (no offense). I would head straight back to Le Feet Lab and purchase again – no question about it. Very highly recommended – and I am a real person, real customer – with no affiliation to the shop. My email is fort collin skier at gmail – (no spaces, obviously) – if you have any questions.

  • I’m an east coast skier who has been through 2 pairs of boots this season that have given me arguably one of the most painful ski seasons of my life.… read more As we know out west the skiing gets more tricky and hard with not a lot of flat groomers to find. I skied one day on Mary Jane and my feet were wrecked. I went to Le Feet Lab where they gave me the best service anyone could ask for. A full foot diagnostic and even massage. Thanks to Dan and Jacqueline they hooked me up with a custom foot bed, liner, and a brand new shell. Because of them I could really ski to my full potential pain free. I recommend Le Feet Lab 100/10 times and they really treat you like family.

One of my (old) ski boots cracked (see pictures 1 and 2) during a 4-day ski trip I went on with a bunch of my friends. I rented some boots… read more at the resort for the rest of the day, then went boot shopping the next day. I went to Christy Sports first, but one of their boot fitters was out due to “COVID protocol”, and the other was booked through the following Tuesday (it was a Saturday). So, I went to Le Feet Lab since they had availability that day about an hour from when I called. I’m a fairly advanced skier – moguls and tree runs are my usual playground. However, I didn’t even realize how my old boots were limiting me. I thought I just needed to work on my technique, but I know now that I needed better fitting boots. My new boots fit perfectly – I even went down a whole size. The difference the custom fit has made in my skiing is incredible. Not only do my skis simply go where I want them to, I also feel better and can ski for longer. I feel much more in control than I used to – I can hop off the top of a mogul, bash into another sideways, and keep going, whereas in my old boots I’d likely lose my balance or cross my skis (yikes) because the ankle was too loose. My old boots also tended to cause pain in the outside of my forefoot. I have a relatively wide forefoot, a relatively narrow heel/ankle, and pretty large calves, so this makes sense. Long story short, after going to Le Feet Lab, I can’t imagine getting ski boots fit any other way.
