I ended up paying about $1300 for my Lupo AX 120s with zipliners and custom footbed, a little more than the one grand price tag that had been indicated to me. While the price difference rankled me for a few days after purchase, I need to say that the boots have made a huge difference in my skiing just like Jacques had said – I could feel the increased responsiveness of my skis in the first few turns. I no longer have to lean super far forward to initiate turns. Jacques is a master of his trade and it is apparent how much he cares about his craft. I value the pro tips I got about boot wear and care – no long johns below boots, only thin socks and I ended up buying the heated boot bag as well. The heated bag made the break in much much easier than it would have been otherwise – the first day I couldn’t ski beyond an hour with un-heated boots. In the end, my boots feel extremely snug around my feet and I’m grateful to have worked with Jacques.
