Years ago ski rental shops and other skiers had recommended Le Feet Lab to me… read more because I was trying to jam a full length custom leather orthotic into my ski boots. I had been unsuccessfully renting oversized boots to accommodate my old deteriorating leather orthotics and needless to say, I had no control on the slopes and about gave up skiing. So far my custom boots have held up great for 12 years and I’m still hitting the slopes – with my grandkids. But the best part about Le Feet Lab is their custom made orthotics. In the past I had used chiropractors and podiatrists to make custom leather orthotics that didn’t hold up and also didn’t correct my foot problems very well. Now I refer people to Le Feet Lab all the time if they really want help to fix their foot problems. As a RN I have seen foot problems eventually cause knee, hip, and back trouble. Without my custom Le Feet Lab Orthotics, I suffer knee and hip pain, as well as my shoes wear out prematurely and unevenly across the bottom of the sole. I know I’m in proper alignment because my shoes last forever now. I am truly thankful for the orthotics that Jacques and Jacqueline custom make. I wish everyone with any kind of foot problem could see Le Feet Lab for custom orthotics before they develop orthopedic ankle, knee, hip, or back problems. Jacques and Jacqueline need to train the medical community how to make custom orthotics that prevent deterioration of the musculoskeletal system and associated pain. I am not a person who normally writes reviews but I am writing this to let everyone know about their exceptional services; they have helped me so much!

I skied one day on Mary Jane and my feet were wrecked. I went to Le Feet Lab where they gave me the best service anyone could ask for. A full foot diagnostic and even massage. Thanks to Dan and Jacqueline they hooked me up with a custom foot bed, liner, and a brand new shell. Because of them I could really ski to my full potential pain free. I recommend Le Feet Lab 100/10 times and they really treat you like family.

I was traveling to winter park for a 5 day ski trip and stopped in upon arrival day one to get the process started. I made an appointment about a month ahead of time – definitely a must if you plan to visit during peak season. Also bring your patience with you – it’s not a quick process and it’s a small family owned business, but they work super hard to make sure everyone is getting a great boot fit. Milage will vary on how well your fit goes – my boyfriend who also was fitted for boots only needed one minor tweak to feel comfortable after a day of skiing, whereas I had to stop in 3 more times for adjustments – it just depends on your body. They were very accommodating in making adjustments and made it clear they will work with you until you are happy. One word of warning – the first day of skiing in the boots can be a bit rough. After day one I was worried very about getting to a point where I was comfortable but after the first adjustment I was in much better shape. TLDR; fantastic boot fitters, recommend for anyone considering making the investment.

I have a house in Winter Park and normally get 30-45 days in per year. I like to spend a lot of time in the bumps and trees when conditions are right. I can tell you quite simply, these boots are the absolute best $900 you will spend. They will change how you ski. They will change how you feel after you ski. They will allow you to get the most out of the $1000 skis attached to your feet and they will come back day after day, without packing out and without developing hot spots. I seriously question the other reviews on this post. Winter Park is a small town. These reviews sound more like a disgruntled former employee than an actual customer. For instance, earlier this season, I stoppped by Jacques’ shop with the intention of purchasing new shells. After +/- 300 days, my black shells look like they went to war. Jacques took a look at them, made a few adjustments and told me I still had 1-2 seasons left. There was no charge. I was ready to drop $400 buck on shells but I’m still happily wearing what may be the ugliest boots on the mountain! If you’re looking to improve your skiing, decrease your chances of injury and get the most out of the engineering that went in to your skis – and your body – this is the absolute best way to go. My wife is on her fifth year on her Dalbello / Zip Fit boots and she tells people that Le Feet Lab changed her life. She was ready to give up on downhill skiing as she was always having boot issues. Not anymore. Yes. They’re expensive – but so is knee surgery or wasted ski passes because your feet hurt. These boots are an investment in your health, comfort and safety. You get what you pay for and when you consider what you get, these boots are a great investment. If I lost these boots, I would not even consider going to a ski shop and purchasing off the rack from a 24 year old boot fitter (no offense). I would head straight back to Le Feet Lab and purchase again – no question about it. Very highly recommended – and I am a real person, real customer – with no affiliation to the shop. For a very reasonable price, they custom-molded Dalbello ID Pro liners in less than an hour. I was prepared for days of agony on the slopes adjusting to the new liners. Instead, I walked out with a perfect fit and enjoyed 5 days of pain-free skiing with my kids! What a blessing.
