Welcome to Le Feet Lab. Our journey began with Jacques Thomas, a visionary whose love for skiing and engineering has shaped our unique approach to foot care and performance enhancement.

Our Story

With over 46 years of expertise and 35 years of custom boot fitting experience, Le Feet Lab has built a world-wide reputation that speaks for itself. Jacques Thomas settled in Winter Park in 1979 and opened Le Ski Lab as a four-store chain. By 1988, he downsized to one store to focus on his renowned custom boot fitting techniques. Jacques and his daughter, Jacqueline, have become icons in the world of custom boot fitting, with extensive backgrounds in racing, teaching, and advising. Jacques has served as a technical advisor for both the U.S. and French National Ski Teams and was the Coach/Manager of the Rossignol professional ski teams, coaching two time world pro-team champion and downhill champion Walter Tresh, and two time world pro champion Lonny Vanatta.

Our Achievements

• Innovative Designs: Jacques’ engineering background led to the creation of groundbreaking tools like the “Edge Sensor” and “The Bevelmeter,” sold to four major ski companies (Rossignol, Dynastar, K2, Head).
• Top Boot Fitter: Recognized as the top boot fitter in America by “Masterfit” University for thirteen consecutive years.
• Global Impact: Worked closely with the National Sports Center for the Disabled (NSCD), enabling many disabled individuals to achieve their skiing dreams.
• Industry Leadership: Collaborated with industry innovators like Sven Coomer, the inventor of “Zip Fit” custom boot liners, and Dalbello ski boots, known for their anatomically minded 3-piece CRX and Zeon ski boot shells.
